In an interview with PEOPLE, Andrew reflected on a screen test he did with Gosling nearly two decades ago for a planned adaptation of ‘The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay,’ long before his Spider-Man fame and two Oscar noms.
“It felt like what I imagine it would’ve felt like working with James Dean or Marlon Brando. Like an alive animal, spontaneous. That kind of style. You don’t know how he’s going to behave. It’s inventive. It’s truthful. It’s messy. It’s alive,” Andrew, now 41, shared.
Though the project never made it to the big screen, he’s still hoping for a chance to work with the ‘Barbie’ star.
“I would just love to dance with him. So to speak, I just think he’s a remarkable actor and I would love to do anything with him.”
